Long-lost "Doctor Who" episodes recovered (1960s)

Stash of Doctor Who episodes from the 1960s that were thought missing, have been recovered in Nigeria, featuring Patrick Troughton as the other doctor.

Philip Morris, director of Television International Enterprises Archive, has discovered eleven Doctor Who episodes in total, nine of which were lost for 46 years. They include four installments of "The Web of  Fear" story, and five installments of "The Enemy of the World". They're now available on iTunes.

Morris says: "The tapes had been left gathering dust in a store room at a television relay station in Nigeria, I remember wiping the dust off the masking tape on the canisters and my heart missed a beat as I saw the words 'Doctor Who.' When I read the story code I realized I had found something pretty special."

As there were 106 lost episodes of Doctor Who, there are still 97 of them incomplete or missing out there.
